In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign nationals and stateless persons may enter Uzbekistan and transit through it upon possession of a valid entry visa, or without a visa where a visa-free regime is applicable.
Visas to Uzbekistan are issued by diplomatic missions and consular offices on the basis of a confirmation (e.g. telex code). The telex code is issued upon the consideration of visa invitation requests submitted by the inviting body to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Applications for private visa invitations are processed by the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
To issue a visa, a foreign national is required to submit the following documents:
1. A copy of the visa application form completed via the official website: https://visa.mfa.uz/.
2. Passport and its copy.
3. Telex code.
4. Receipt confirming payment of the consular fee.
5. A copy of the driver’s license and the vehicle registration certificate (for drivers only).
*** Consular fee for issuing the visa is determined in accordance with the visa validity period, number of entries, and urgency of processing.
